Welcome

Welcome to Hesket Newmarket Free Church's website.

We warmly invite you to join us as we worship together each Sunday morning at 10.30am. Hesket Newmarket Free Church was established 30 years ago. Our church is affiliated with the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches.  We are situated on the northern edge of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria.

Our Services

We meet at 10.30am each Sunday morning at Caldbeck Parish Hall or in our own chapel building in Hesket Newmarket. Our services usually last for about 75 minutes and during the service we read the Bible, sing, pray and hear God’s word preached. Junior Church leave part way through the service and make their way through to the Oak Room. One of the Junior Church leaders will come and welcome any visiting children. Tea and coffee will be served from the hatch at the end of the service, please do stay so we can get to know you a little better.

To provide the space we now require, especially for our Junior Church group, we are currently meeting in Caldbeck Parish Hall whenever it is available for our use. We stream our services for those who cannot be with us physically. If you would like information about how to meet with us then please send us a message. Please check below to see the location for upcoming services:

Following the relaxation of covid regulations we have started meeting in the Village Hall in Caldbeck. This venue provides us with more space to allow a degree of continued social distancing. It also provides more space for our Junior church classes so that our young people are less cramped and have space to play games. We continue to provide services via zoom for people who are unable to attend in person.

It may have taken a while but we are now starting to add content to our new website. Unfortunately it could be a while before we have it back to the same state as the previous one but we are working on it as fast as we can. Please bear with us.
